What am I gonna do with my Wednesdays now?

First post in March! I've officially had this blog for over a month...by one day...hehe, anyway...RUNWAY FINALE. Kinda boring. Don't get me wrong, I love me some PR even if it is a yawn fest. I fear that we will never have the drama that we once did. Wendy Pepper and her psychoticness...causing bitch fights at the last minute...the drama of season 2 where they had to create the second look...Laura Bennett accusing Jefferey of cheating in Season 3...what do we get in season 4? Three AMAZING collections where all the designers genuinely get along. The biggest drama last night was Jillian not being able to switch her model. *sigh* I guess the collections made up for it. This was the FIRST time ever in my PR obsession history where I have:
1. Loved all the collections.
2. Loved all the designers.
3. Couldn't care less who actually won.

In season 1, I was happy that Jay McCarroll won. His collection was better than Kara Saun's and Wendy Pepper is a crazy banshee who should never have been allowed to step foot on a runway. Seriously wtf was she thinking about that see thru top? With NO BRA. No taste. Barf. In season 2 I was pissed that Chloe Dao won...I hated her and her collection. It was ridiculous. Season 3 I was happy that Jefferey won, but he was not my favorite designer all season. Michael Knight was...but his collection was tickity tacky to the max. So I guess I was happy with that.

So this year, the collections were AMAZING. I knew Christian was going to win. MAJOR foreshadowing in the beginning of the episode AND I read an article where Victoria Beckham was quoted saying that she loved everything in the winning designers collection and she would wear all of it. Because of Christian's ridiculously over the top avant garde-ness...I knew she would eat it up...if she ate (I kid, I kid). While I kind of don't like his collection, mostly because its the same as what he did in previous collections, the giant ruffled coats, big hats, all black etc...I can respect it. You've gotta give this kid credit where credit is due (I love how I just called him a kid...I'm 1 year older than him). I'm not gonna post pics of the stuff I didn't like...but these were amazing:

I especially like the 2nd look. Victoria Beckham SMILED. I cannot believe it.

Speaking of Posh...how BRILLS was it to have her as the guest judge? I mean seriously genius. In general, I hate the guest judges. 2 exeptions: Sarah Jessica Parker (for her general fabulosity) and Zac Posen (because I think he is adorable and I wish he could make me a whole wardrobe). But VICTORIA BECKHAM!!!! AMAZING! She was MADE to judge this show. I want them to kick Nina Garcia off (because I can't stand her and I really really want her to brush her hair) and bring Posh on. The fact that she said Maj-uh...about Christian's collection made my heart swoon. I love it when she says that. I actually love everything she says. Today I said to my friend that she needs to be in a reality show (that one special that she did with NBC (I think) was brilliant). She is fascinating. Then I read on dlisted today that she might be getting her own fashion makeover show. It WILL be on my TiVo season pass list...and its priority will be pretty high.

So I knew Christian would win...and I'm happy for him. Honestly the guy lives and breathes fashion. And I kinda love him. At the beginning of the season I kinda hated him a lot. But he was probably the best personality on this season (With the exception of my beloved Jack Mackenroth who BETTER come back next season). And its reality tv...so that's important.

Christian also had the most to prove. He's so young. Rami, I love you...but you're already a well established designer in LA. I was secretly rooting for Jillian from the beginning. Because she is fabulous (devoid of facial expressions, but fabulous...Posh also has the same problem). Look at how CUTE she is!
I'm assuming that she made this dress herself and I love love love. It has the most ADORABLE buttons in the back. She always looks fab. And I want her hair.

Anyway...her collection was my favorite overall. But as Michael Kors said (I love him) it was a little fragmented. There were a lot of different looks. This was my beloved Daniel Vosovic's downfall in season 2 (He still should have won). But honestly I loved this collection. All season I pretty much loved everything she did.

The last 4 were my absolute faves. I didn't bother posting the ones that I didn't like.

So Rami...I liked his collection. I like Rami. But again, he's way established. He's had a lot of celebs already wear his clothes BEFORE PR. So I don't mind him not winning. Obviously he was ok with that too. But here are some Rami looks that I LOVED:

The last look is one of my favorites from the whole season. And THIS

Was amazing. I think he said it was made of 1920s antique lace....LOVE.

I've gotta say something about the models one more time. The fact that Heidi Klum says its a competition for the models...its not, because with the exception of Christian's FUG model (SERIOUSLY SHE'S GOING TO BE IN ELLE MAGAZINE??? WTF? and while it was endearing that she cried when he won...it was the ugliest thing ever. I'm sorry. I am a terrible person), I couldn't even remember which models were their original models from the show. I mean come on. AND Rami's models COULD NOT WALK. Many of the models were tragic last night, but Rami's seriously had some issues. And it wasn't the clothes.

P.S. What is Rami holding here? It looks like those chicken cutlet fake boobie thingys

Christian had the best reaction to winning EVER. He was like in tears before they announced it. It was very touching. I'll admit it. I cried.

I love you Tim Gunn.

Too cute. I can't find a picture of it right now, but Heidi Klum had the highest, MOST fabulous yellow heels on with those skinny jeans. AMAZING.

****UPDATE**** I found a picture of the shoes!

Sadness...Runway is over. They better not make me wait over a year again for a new season. That's just ridiculous. And Posh better come back!

xx,

Nicole
